1964 Chevelle SS Sport Coupe

Listing No.: 50422

Model: 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle

Price: SOLD. We have others; call us for details.

This beautiful, 1964 Chevelle SS sport coupe was built the second week of January, 1964. Originally white with red interior, this 1964 Chevy Chevelle was stripped to bare metal and repainted a beautiful show-quality black. The surface preparation prior to painting was outstanding and the quality of the finish shows a mirror-like patina. The bright trim and glass are in very good condition, showing only minor pitting on the front quarter window trim.
The Chevelle’s comes with a 327 engine, bored and stroked to 383 and mated with a turbo 400 automatic transmission. An aluminum radiator keeps it cool in the Las Vegas summer heat.

This classic Chevelle has power front disc brakes, power steering, and air conditioning. Aftermarket parts include an Autometer dash mounted tach and a Grant GT steering wheel. Dash mounted aftermarket gauges above the console replace the “idiot lights” in the dash for accurate monitoring of engine performance.

Period correct, Torque Thrust polished chrome wheels from American Racing mounted with BF Goodrich raised white letter radial tires create the aggressive look. The undercarriage is clean and driver quality, typical of a weekend toy used for car shows and pleasure cruises. There is no rust on the car. Pics of the trunk with the mat removed show a clean floor and wheel wells.

Everything works as if it were new. There is a complete folder of receipts documenting the restoration. Engine and transmission are in excellent condition. It starts, runs, and drives well – a great weekend toy.

To build this car as it sits today would cost well over $100K. '64 Chevelle SS coupes continue to increase in value, making this one a great investment opportunity. It is located in Las Vegas and available for a pre-purchase inspection by appointment.
